Your Duties

  • Responsible for 24-hour service at the reception in accordance with the requirements of the shipping company, including personally handling reception duties.
  • Ensuring a high-quality, friendly contact point for passengers to provide tourist and general information.
  • Organizing embarkation and disembarkation in coordination with the Hotel Manager.
  • Accepting and handling complaints and guest grievances as the first point of contact.
  • Daily monitoring of passenger and crew lists and creating and sending departure notifications.
  • Operating the ship's security system at the reception.
  • Creating duty rosters according to specifications and training, leading, and supervising assigned staff.
  • Responsible for office and master keys and managing and ordering office supplies and printed materials.
  • Maintaining the reception cash book, monitoring and settling currency exchange and passenger income.
  • Monitoring and executing the system-based travel changeover and completing the reception cash book in compliance with the shipping company's requirements.

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed vocational training in the hotel industry or a related degree.
  • At least two years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Knowledge of Fidelio Cruise and MICROS cash systems is desirable.
  • PC skills including Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent language skills in German and English (additional language skills are desirable).
  • Ship experience is desirable.
  • Strong leadership qualities and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
